TREATMENTS

At Kannika Thai Massage Therapy, we are dedicated to providing a rejuvenating and relaxing experience through our specialized massage treatments. Our goal is to help our clients ease away stress and pain using traditional Thai massage techniques.

We invite you to experience the soothing and therapeutic benefits of our Deep Tissue, Pregnancy, Aromatherapy, Swedish, and Hot Oil massages.

Thai Traditional Massage

Traditional Thai Massage (Nuad Thai) is a holistic therapy combining acupressure, Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga-like stretches to improve energy flow (Sen lines) for deep relaxation, flexibility, and stress relief.

It is performed on the massage bed, with hot oils, using hands, feet, elbows, and body weight, to create a meditative, energizing experience.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage uses firm, slow strokes and deep pressure to target inner muscle layers and connective tissue, aiming to release chronic tension, knots (adhesions), and pain from overuse or injury, unlike Swedish massage which is lighter.

Our therapists use fingers, hands, elbows, or forearms to apply focused pressure, breaking down scar tissue, improving blood flow, and restoring movement for conditions like chronic back pain, stiffness, and sports injuries.

Aromatherapy Massage

Thai aromatherapy massage is a deeply relaxing, full-body treatment blending traditional Thai massage (acupressure, stretching, energy work) with fragrant essential oils, using plant extracts absorbed through skin and inhalation to soothe muscles, reduce stress, improve mood, and promote overall mental and physical rejuvenation.

This is often described as more gentle and calming than traditional Thai massage.

Relaxing Massage

Thai relaxing massage is an ancient healing practice combining acupressure, yoga-like stretches, and rhythmic movements, performed using only the therapist's hands to gently unblock energy lines (Sen) for deep relaxation, improved flexibility, stress relief, and increased energy, often called "lazy person's yoga".

It's a holistic treatment that balances mind, body, and spirit by releasing tension and restoring natural flow, distinct from other Western massages.

Swedish Massage

A Swedish massage is a popular, full-body therapeutic treatment using long, gliding strokes (effleurage), kneading (petrissage), rhythmic tapping (tapotement), rubbing (friction), and vibration to relieve muscle tension, boost circulation, and promote deep relaxation for overall well-being.

It's known for its gentle, calming effects, often using light to medium pressure and oil or lotion, making it ideal for first-time massage recipients seeking stress relief and improved flexibility.

Thai Hot Oil Massage

Thai hot oil massage blends traditional Thai techniques (stretching, acupressure on energy lines) with aromatic, warmed oils.

This creates a deeply relaxing yet invigorating experience that uses hands, thumbs and elbows for rhythmic strokes, easing tension, improving circulation, and promoting detoxification, unlike dry traditional Thai massage.

Head, Neck, Back & Shoulders Massage

A head, neck, back, and shoulder massage is a targeted treatment focusing on the upper body to relieve tension, stress, stiffness, and pain from desk work, poor posture, or sports, using techniques like Swedish, deep tissue, or Thai massage to improve circulation, flexibility, and promote relaxation.

It often involves kneading, friction, and pressure points on the scalp, neck, shoulders, and upper back, which can be done sitting on the massage bed, or lying down.
